House or room to small?

Want to knock down a wall or two or maybe improve the space in the kitchen or bathroom?

Consulting a designer should be first on your list of to do’s

Having the proper contractor and trades people are a must.  Making sure that if you decide to take down a particular wall it won’t bring half the house down is a smart move. That could cost a lot of money!!!  This is where I come in and prevent you from making those costly mistakes. It would be great if the contractor could do it all but can he or she be relied upon to create the style and punch that you have always dreamt of?  It would be awesome to kill two birds with one stone but this is highly unlikely

“From Concept to Creation” has always been my motto

I have numerous suppliers whom I have worked with for many years and are honest, quality oriented, professional and trustworthy with many years of experience under their belts

Making sure that your space, whatever room it may be is utilized to it's full potential is my goal

Choosing all the products, appliances, flooring, fixtures (lighting, plumbing) are all part of my job.  With your input of course.  Since you have to live in the home and use all of the above it is very important for you to be involved as much as possible. If time is a factor for you and you are unable to participate …no problem.  I have been handed over the keys many times

Once the design has been decided …work is in progress …then the decorating takes priority

Your home is your castle and I would be honored to make it the home you've always dreamed of

Before:  Well, as you can see this kitchen really needed help

When I walked into this room I could understand Barbs’ desperation in gutting this kitchen.  It was old, dark, & dreary.  It didn’t reflect her in any way.  The flooring was yellow sheet linoleum with an embossed pattern.  Counters a white & gold laminate, ancient appliances and the old cabinets, were just that, old & dark.  She did not want to reface the cabinets or paint them, which was the best decision.  She wanted a totally new kitchen with a slight change in layout; a working functional space with additional storage.  Barb spends a considerable amount of time in her kitchen so she deserved this total make over.

After:  Quite a difference eh???

We had an island built which was plumbed for a salad sink and wired for an electrical outlet (opposite side of the sink area) giving the opportunity to use small kitchen appliances (toaster, blender, etc.) so when you sat down to eat the mess was confined to the island.  The island was added with the additional storage space that Barb had requested.  We were also able to build a small pantry where the fridge used to be, which was really exciting. The upper cabinets were done in an antique white, & the lower cabinets including the island were stained a dark maple.  This gave the lower cabinets, island and extended lower cabinetry in the sitting room a furniture look. The floors are cork, stained to match the lower cabinets.  Counters in the kitchen and on the island are Cesar Stone, back splash is tumbled marble and to finish, stainless steel appliances
